While the full ranking picture won't be clear until the end of Washington and the Olympic Games, there has been some movement in the ATP Ranking for the week commencing 29 July 2024.

Namely among those players who played in Kitzbuhel, Atlanta and Umag over the last week. Jannik Sinner still leads the way alongside Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz, Alexander Zverev who will drop 450 points from his ranking so he sits in the clutches of Daniil Medvedev. The only top ten change comes from Andrey Rublev who again swaps with Casper Ruud after the Russian lost in the semi-finals of Umag.

With both Alex de Minaur and Hubert Hurkacz close by and both injured, he has a real chance playing Washington to reach World Number 6. Other movers include swapping between Stefanos Tsitsipas and Taylor Fritz for 11th and 12th and the same for Lorenzo Musetti who shifts into World Number 16 after reaching the Umag final. He is one away from his career best. Alejandro Tabilo, Karen Khachanov and Sebastian Korda all benefit too from Arthur Fils dropping points from last year.

While those who have added this week are Francisco Cerundolo. Winning Umag has hoisted him back into World Number 26 (up 11 spots), Jordan Thompson is up eight spots after losing the Atlanta final. He sits in 33rd. The winner of said title is Yoshihito Nishioka and he moves up 36 spots to World Number 50. Hugo Gaston who reached the final of Kitzbuhel also makes a huge jump up to World No.61. He is up 30 spots.

Matteo Berrettini though is the star of this week moving up 10 spots to World Number 40 after yet another title. He has gain 32 spots in two weeks after winning both Gstaad and Kitzbuhel and with a cluster of players on similar points is bound to move forwards with little money to defend.

Winning another title, Matteo Berrettini was the star of the week that just passed.
