ATP Rankings Update: Alcaraz moves into the top 10

Carlos Alcaraz secured his 3rd trophy of the year in Barcelona and he debuted a new career high ranking of No. 9.

The Spanish players has been the story of this season ever since Rafael Nadal got injured. He dominated players at a couple of events including Barcelona where he won two matches in one day to lift the trophy. It's the 3rd of this year and it allowed him to jump up to number 9 on the rankings. His goal for this season was to get into the top 15 and he's already way past that.

On top, it's still Djokovic ahead of Medvedev, Zverev and Nadal. Tsitispas is 5th followed by Berrettini at 6, Ruud at 7 and Rublev at 8. The biggest loser of this week is Dominic Thiem who dropped 39 spots to number 93 on the rankings. It's the lowest he's been ranked in many years with danger to slip out of the top 100.
