ATP Rankings Update: Monfils moves up as top 10 remains the same

A lot of tennis was played last week but there weren't any changes in the top 10 ahead of the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells.

The sensational Indian Wells Masters is around the corner and ahead of it, there were some updates to the ATP Rankings. Not much changed as the top 10 remained the same despite Casper Ruud coming fairly close to overtaking Roger Federer for number 9. It will happen after the Indian Wells as the Swiss ace remains inactive.

Gael Monfils had a vintage week in Sofia reaching the final and that propelled him to number 18 avoiding a drop outside the top 20 for the first time in years. A couple of other players moved up such as Cameron Norrie, Lorenzo Sonego, Krajinovic and more. Marcos Giron was the biggest mover with 11 spots sitting at number 55 right now.

A couple of veterans suffered significant losses on the ATP Rankings such as Vasek Pospisil who dropped 17 spots to number 85. Sam Querrey dropped 9 spots to 86. John Millman is the biggest loser dropping 35 spots to number 90. Several players reached a new career-high this week: Sonego at 21, Norrie at 26, Korda at 40, Duckworth at 54, Kwon at 55, Giron at 56, Rinderknech at 70, Brooksby at 76 and Nakashima at 79.
