Barbora Krejcikova will face native player Anett Kontaveit in the Tallinn Open final after she defeated Belinda Bencic and Kontaveit bested Kanepi.
A very fabulous final awaits us on Sunday in the Estonian capital of Tallinn and Kontaveit takes on Krejcikova. Kontaveit was the player most active in trying to get Estonia a WTA event and she campaigned hard for it.
On Sunday, she'll have a chance to win the first edition of the event and it's a pretty big deal for her because the event hasn't been given an extended license which means this might be the only edition held. She has played pretty solid tennis overall, certainly the best in recent months but the opponent is a very tough one in Krejcikova.
The Czech player missed a lot of time this season with injuries but this is the first event where she showed her best again. Playing very solid tennis from the start and looking more confident with every win, the grand slam champion bested Bencic in a spectacular fashion to book the final.
It was a huge win for her as Bencic has been of the best players this year.
