Bautista-Agut strengthened his position in the 2019 ATP Race to London defeating Andreas Seppi in a 6-2, 6-2 win. He is now 210 points ahead of Matteo Berrettini with the cut off coming ever closer.
He will face De Minaur in the semi-finals who continues to make a case for his second appearance at the Next Gen ATP Finals also in November by defeating 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 against Borna Coric.
In the other semi-final it sees Albert Ramos-Vinolas see off third seed Gael Monfils 7-5, 6-4 in only an hour and 40 minutes in their fourth meeting. Ramos-Vinolas recovered after a poor first set to take a 3-1 advantage in the second.
Monfils came back to 3-3 but Ramos-Vinolas broke again in the seventh game to go towards the win and now he will meet Adrian Mannarino.
He saw off Damir Dzumhur with ease in a 6-1, 6-4 win. The Frenchman captured his first ATP Tour title in Libema Open in 's-Hertogenbosch in June.
