Bizarre scenes at Grand Prix Hassan II in Marrakech as full day cancelled yesterday due to courts being unplayable

It seems only the Millennium Estoril Open where Ben Shelton faces Dominic Thiem today is able to host a full clay-court tournament this week with bizarre scenes in particular in Marrakech at Grand Prix Hassan II.

Due to the use of TV, the Centre Court will still not be used with Court Four acting as the showcourt with three back courts getting action today but the others seemingly being unusable and having no clay with players not wanting to risk serious injury.

Play was already cancelled yesterday as despite not raining for almost the entire day, the court wasn't good enough.

While over at the Fayez Sarofim & Co Men's Clay Court Championship in Houston, actual rain has seen play been limited and today's action is unlikely to take place either.

Marrakech was almost a wash yesterday, too. They're loading up today but since they're not playing on the stadium, my conclusion is that it's unplayable. Loading up on three back courts.

Can’t believe they are still not playing in Marrakech because there isn’t enough clay on the courts and players refuse to play in dangerous conditions. Is this serious? How is this an ATP event? Scenes.
