Carlos Alcaraz received a tribute from the Juan Carlos Ferrero Academy, naming one of the courts after the 20-year-old prodigy. The Spanish coach leading the academy stated that they consider Alcaraz an important part of the Academy.
The current world No. 1 expressed his gratitude for Ferrero's gesture before unveiling the sign indicating the tribute to Alcaraz. The homage moment for Alcaraz included the presence of Jannik Sinner, with whom he shares a close relationship and who had been training with them in recent weeks.

Alcaraz and Ferrero expressed mutual gratitude.

2003 French Open champion said, "The Academy wanted to acknowledge Carlos; I believe he has earned this tribute that we are offering from the Academy: “Ferrero said. Even though you haven't been here your whole life like some others, we consider you one of our own, and we hold you dear. I think, based on your own merits, you deserved something like this for all that you have achieved," former world No. 1 added.
After Ferrero's words, the young star expressed his sense of belonging to the Academy family and his hope that the years they have been working together will extend throughout his entire career. "For my part, I want to express my gratitude for this gesture. I have trained here millions of times, and it truly means a lot to have the court named after me,” Carlos Alcaraz said.
“As you mentioned, you already consider me part of the family, and from the very beginning, I have felt like part of the family.
“It's been five years now. Perhaps, during the initial years, I haven't been here as much, but I have always been involved in the academy. I appreciate all the affection, all the effort, and here's to the first 5 years, hoping for a lifetime of connection," 2-times Grand Slam champion concluded.
