Francisco Cerundolo lost the first set against
Jack Draper but he rallied back to win the match in three sets advancing to the semi-finals of the
Lyon Open.
Draper made a surprise return in Lyon after dealing with injuries and his return allowed him to get a few matches in ahead of Roland Garros. The Brit did well making the quarter-finals and he looked on the brink of making the semi-final when he took the opening set 6-4. It was just an impressive set from the Brit who dominated on his serve and used one of the chances he got.
The second set was quite different as Draper didn't serve as well and it created a lot of problems for him. He faced 8 break points in total saving sex but he got broken twice which proved too much. Cerundolo was a bit better saving 5 of six break points he faced on his serve. Draper actually served for 5-3 in the second set but after breaking for the 4-3 lead, Draper lost 3 games in a row.
The start of the final set featured Cerundolo taking over. He was up 3-0 and from there it was rather smooth sailing for the Argentine who finished the match 6-3 in the final set.
