The main tour is set to return to Santiago later today with the schedule of play confirmed for the opening day of action at the Chile Open.
A tournament which lacks star names due to Acapulco and Dubai, there is still a good schedule of play to begin on Monday in the ATP 250 tournament.
Facundo Bagnis and Thiago Seyboth Wild is one to look out for, the former has been in action more with the Argentinian winning multiple matches during tournaments in Buenos Aires and Cordoba; while the latter has had solid performances in the past and established himself as a quality youngster.
He played in the tournament this one is replacing in Sao Paulo; he will hope for similar here albeit without the crowd noise to help back him up.
Jaume Munar and Roberto Carballes Baena is a match which on paper looks good; but on results looks like a slog between the two Spaniards.
Munar has a 4-11 record in the past few months against top 100 players; while Carballes despite ranking higher has bowed out early in his last two tournaments to Casper Ruud and Federico Delbonis. A match that could go either way but likely won't be emphatic whoever the winner is.
Then it is a match again between two players making serious strides. Marcelo Tomas Barrios Vera is a Chilean wild card and has been winning well at ITF level which despite being a different ball game shows he has some confidence.
He is facing Carlos Taberner who defeated Fernando Verdasco in Cordoba recently and is looking to head towards the top 100. A real match to watch on the opening day.
To begin it all though we have a clash which based on ranking is the top one of the day between Marco Cecchinato and Hugo Dellien.
Dellien has not won though in five tournaments this year; despite being one of the top seeds in Santiago and despite winning in the Chilean capital before on the Challenger Tour. The worries have got to start creeping in for the Bolivian.
Cecchinato has not been playing well either and is falling from grace as the former top 16 star and French Open semi-finalist heads into this one a marginal favourite; but not much in a match both need to win.
