Marin Cilic has claimed his first title in three years at the MercedesCup in Stuttgart defeating
Felix Auger-Aliassime in a 7-6, 6-3 victory.
It was a 19th ATP Tour title for Cilic - who had his family with him for the first time in a while and this helped him to this triumph as once again the Canadian couldn't claim his first ATP title.
The Croatian did not drop a set all week and struck seven aces to claim victory in Germany in a final that lasted just under two hours.
This record for FAA drops to 0-8 in ATP Tour finals as he added this year to his runner-up spot at the Murray River Open where he lost to Dan Evans.
Next up will be the NOVENTI Open when he takes on Hubert Hurkacz in a quick turn around ahead of Wimbledon.
