The Croatian did not drop a set all week and struck seven aces to claim victory in Germany in a final that lasted just under two hours.
This record for FAA drops to 0-8 in ATP Tour finals as he added this year to his runner-up spot at the Murray River Open where he lost to Dan Evans.
