Day 4 at the 2020 ABN Amro World Tennis Tournament will feature another set of interesting matches as Tsitsipas, Monfils, and Goffin all will be in action in Rotterdam.
After Vasek Pospisil defeated the first-seeded Daniil Medvedev, no. 2 in Rotterdam,
Stefanos Tsitsipas became the main contender for the title. However,
the draw is full of star names and
Gael Monfils or David Goffin will try to stop his journey to the title.
Day in Rotterdam will begin with a match between the young Italian, Jannik Sinner, and the fourth-seeded David Goffin. Players did not meet yet on the ATP Tour and the winner of the first meeting will play
Pablo Carreno-Busta in the next round.
Alexander Bublik and Andrey Rublev will meet for the fourth time. The first time in the Netherlands as Bublik will be trying to level the H2H score. The Russian was successful in the previous 2 meetings in 2019. However, Bublik managed to win the first match in 2016. Rublev is in stunning form in 2020 so far as he managed to win
titles in Doha and
Adelaide already.
The second-seeded, Stefanos Tsitsipas will end the afternoon session in Rotterdam. He will meet Aljaz Bedene and try to follow up on a
first-round victory against Hubert Hurkacz.
The evening session will be opened by the all-French duel between
Gael Monfils and Gilles Simon. Frenchmen have a long history of H2H matches when Simon managed to win 6 out of 9 meetings. However, the last time in 2017 on clay and so the third-seeded Monfils will be trying to improve this statistic.
The day in Rotterdam will be finished by a match between
Vasek Pospisil who is playing in a very good form and Filip Krajinovic. It will be the first meeting for the two players as
Krajinovic was not successful in Montpellier semifinals last week to be able to meet Pospisil in the final.
