The Delray Beach final between Taylor Fritz and Tommy Paul has been postponed to tomorrow not before 12:30 local time
The final of the 2024 Delray Beach Open will not be played until Monday as rain has prevented the clash between Taylor Fritz and Tommy Paul from taking place. The doubles final has also been halted and will start before the singles championship match not before 12:30pm local time.
Fritz and Paul are two of America's top stars and have come through the draw this week having also been friends since juniors. They have split their four prior meetings in their Head to Head and met in the Acapulco semi-finals last during 2023.
At that point, Paul won in a final set tie-break. Fritz will try to seal his first ATP Tour title of the season and is also defending champion and will look to only become the second player in history to defend it and the first since 1997. Paul won in Dallas last week and could become the first American to win consecutive tour titles since John Isner during the Newport and Atlanta double in 2017. Two players in top form, but they will have to wait.
