Carlos Alcaraz lead the way in terms of earnings in 2023.
The Serbian tennis star leads the way in earnings with more than
$10,581,665, especially after winning three out of the four Grand Slams this
year.
He won the Australian Open after beating Greece’s Stefanos
Tsitsipas in the final with a score of 6–3, 7–6(7–4), 7–6(7–5), won the French
Open after defeating Norway’s Casper Ruud with a score of 7-6, 6-3, 7-5 and won
the US Open after getting the better of Russia’s Daniil Medvedev with a score
of 6–3, 7–6(7–5), 6–3.
In the second is Alcaraz who won the only other Grand Slam
this year — Wimbledon — after beating Djokovic in the final with a score of 1–6,
7–6(8–6), 6–1, 3–6, 6–4. He earned $9,312,064.
Third in terms of earnings this year is Russia’s Daniil
Medvedev who earned $7,411,834. He played the final of the US Open and the semifinal
of the Wimbledon.
Italy’s Jannik Sinner is next on the list with a total earnings
of $4,405,028. He is followed by Greece’s Stefanos Tsitispas who earned $4,022,743.
Cameron Norrie of Britain was the first surprise in the list
of the highest-earning players as he struggled with form in the recent past.
His total prize money earning this year is $2,003,224.
Another British player Dan Evans, who also struggled with
poor form, earned $1,497,843 in prize money.
Italy’s Matteo Berrettini, who had to deal with fitness
concerns throughout the year, managed to earn more than a million dollars in
prize money this year.
