Djokovic and Alcaraz lead tennis prize money list ahead of two British surprise inclusions, and an Italian one

The world number one Novak Djokovic and Spain’s young tennis star Carlos Alcaraz lead the way in terms of earnings in 2023.
The Serbian tennis star leads the way in earnings with more than $10,581,665, especially after winning three out of the four Grand Slams this year.
He won the Australian Open after beating Greece’s Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final with a score of 6–3, 7–6(7–4), 7–6(7–5), won the French Open after defeating Norway’s Casper Ruud with a score of 7-6, 6-3, 7-5 and won the US Open after getting the better of Russia’s Daniil Medvedev with a score of 6–3, 7–6(7–5), 6–3.
In the second is Alcaraz who won the only other Grand Slam this year — Wimbledon — after beating Djokovic in the final with a score of 1–6, 7–6(8–6), 6–1, 3–6, 6–4. He earned $9,312,064.
Third in terms of earnings this year is Russia’s Daniil Medvedev who earned $7,411,834. He played the final of the US Open and the semifinal of the Wimbledon.
Italy’s Jannik Sinner is next on the list with a total earnings of $4,405,028. He is followed by Greece’s Stefanos Tsitispas who earned $4,022,743.
Cameron Norrie of Britain was the first surprise in the list of the highest-earning players as he struggled with form in the recent past. His total prize money earning this year is $2,003,224.
Another British player Dan Evans, who also struggled with poor form, earned $1,497,843 in prize money.
Italy’s Matteo Berrettini, who had to deal with fitness concerns throughout the year, managed to earn more than a million dollars in prize money this year.
