Novak Djokovic stopped the 2020 Australian Open journey of Milos Raonic to set up a semifinal against Roger Federer.

The tall Canadian was unstoppable at the 2020 Australian Open so far. But that was true until Raonic faced a 7-time champion in Melbourne, Novak Djokovic. After Roger Federer turned the match against Tennys Sandgren, his semifinal opponent was the one who will come victorious in this match.
Djokovic took advantage of his improved service in the first set when he managed to win 89% of points after his first service. Milos Raonic hit 5 aces, however, he hit also 4 doubles faults and faced up to 9 breakpoints. He did not manage to turn away the last and allowed Djokovic to win the first set 6-4.
The Serbian followed up on a good form also in the second set when he converted his 3rd breakpoint. He did not allow Raonic to have any in the second set and secure a 6-3 victory what gave him an important 2-0 lead.
In the third set, Raonic had an opportunity to break Novak Djokovic but he did not use it again. The Serbian did not use his 4 chances and so the set was decided in a tie-break. Djokovic was almost flawless there when he lost only 1 point and won it 7-1 to book his semifinal spot.
