Djokovic stretches winning streak in victory over Sandgren, Opelka dumps out Berrettini to continue brilliant run

Novak Djokovic is 20-0 now in 2020 after extending his winning streak with a sharp display to dispel Tennys Sandgren 6-2, 6-4 reaching the Western & Southern Open Quarter-Finals in the process as the results continue to come in on Tuesday.

Djokovic who had to take a medical timeout against Ricardas Berankis looked to show no physical injuries in the third round. He broke in the first game of the match to set out his intentions early doors in New York.
Sandgren throughout played well but couldn't penetrate Djokovic's defence, he hit a forehand long to give up another break in the opening game of the second set. He earned three consecutive break points with Djokovic at 4-3 but the latter held his serve to assert his dominance.
He will now play big-hitting Jan-Lennard Struff who compared to Djokovic's 84 Masters 1000 Quarter-Finals is into his first.
Reilly Opelka also extended his brilliant run on home soil claiming back-to-back top 15 wins after beating Diego Schwartzman yesterday. This time he accounted for #8 Matteo Berrettini 6-3, 7-6(4) and will face either his compatriot John Isner or Stefanos Tsitsipas.
Roberto Bautista Agut is one of the only surviving seeds alongside Djokovic and Daniil Medvedev after he won through against Karen Khachanov. He came from a set down against the Russian to claim victory 4-6, 6-3, 6-2.
His reward is a tie with Khachanov's compatriot and the defending champion Daniil Medvedev in the Quarter-Finals.
