Naomi Osaka eased past Dayana Yastremska and Victoria Azarenka continues to roll back the years with victory over Alize Cornet as results continue to filter in from the Women's draw at the Western & Southern Open.

Osaka won through 6-3, 6-1 saving all five break points against her with eight aces en route to seeing off the 16th seed in just over an hour spent on court.
It is a second Quarter-Final of the year for the No.4 seed after reaching the final four in Brisbane before getting to the third round at the Australian Open - her last tournament before Coronavirus struck.
A tough test saw her defeat Karolina Muchova in the second round but she has grown back into competitive action to produce an excellent display. Up next will be Anett Kontaveit, who saw off Marie Bouzkova 6-3, 6-3 earlier in the day.
Like alluded to though Victoria Azarenka is through after dispatching Alizé Cornet 6-4, 7-5 to reach the Quarter-Finals. It has been 16 months since she last reached this stage of a tournament.
She saved three break points to open the first set and emerged with a comeback after Cornet had raced into a 3-0 lead but a double break proved elusive. Azarenka reeled off four straight games and found herself serving for the match.
Cornet though broke the Belarusian only to lose serve in a close game and Azarenka served for the win with a deep backhand claiming it.
Next will be Ons Jabeur who eased past Christina McHale 6-3, 6-0 to reach the Quarter-Finals, she will now make her top 30 debut on Monday as the Tunisian's rise continues.

Konta eases past Zvonareva, Pegula stuns Sabalenka

Johanna Konta will not have to get past Bouzkova after consecutive defeats to the Czech ace; now the Brit is into the Quarter-Finals herself after easing past one of the stars of the week and a player who has been turning back the clock, Vera Zvonareva 6-4, 6-2.
Unlike Azarenka, one Belarusian who isn't through is Aryna Sabalenka who fell to Jessica Pegula, who continues her run this week claiming a 6-2, 2-6, 6-3 win in her best ranked career win. This came after a phenomenal display over Amanda Anisimova in the second round.
Sabalenka herself nearly fell to another in-form American, Cici Bellis in her first match but Pegula fought a mid-match dip in the second set to win through. Next up is another seed in Elise Mertens.
