Tennis superstar Novak Djokovic has spent a record 421 total weeks as the World No.1 on the ATP Ranking table. With several fans celebrating this milestone, the Serbian joined in on the fun after a fan posted a photo with a bus labeled '421', in reference to Djokovic's achievement.
The ATP rankings were introduced in 1973, and 28 players have had their names etched at the top of the list. However, no player has held the spot as long as Djokovic, who currently sits at 421 weeks and counting as World No.1. This places him 111 weeks ahead of rival Roger Federer, who comes in second at 310 overall weeks as World No.1.
A user took to Twitter to share a picture of a bus with the number '421' flashing across it. The fan suggested the number symbolized the number of weeks Djokovic has been World No.1.
"It’s another Monday so please welcome the lovely 4️⃣2️⃣1️⃣kent bus this week she’s arrived to help us celebrate the 1 and only Mr @DjokerNole as he continues to break records and achieve the amazing n01e for 421weeks. So jump on and let’s see where our journey goes. IDEMOOO", wrote the fan.
Djokovic somehow got wind of the post, and even responded to the fan with a cheeky reply.
"Amazing. Do you pick up passengers in Wimbledon? I’m planning a visit," replied the Serbian.
