The 2023 Next Gen ATP Finals which have become a breeding ground for the best talent to even reach the main ATP Finals will next take place between November 28 - 2 December 2023. The draw has now been confirmed.
Taking place this year at King Abdullah Sports City in Saudi Arabia with a record prize pool of $2,000,000, it has Brandon Nakashima as defending champion.
Albeit, he cannot play in the tournament as he is too old with players qualifying due to being 21 or under, being born in 2002 or later. Only two players in the field are in their final year of eligibility. Those being Dominic Stricker and Flavio Cobolli.

French duo lead groups

The leading star is Frenchman, Arthur Fils. Technically Carlos Alcaraz, Holger Rune, Ben Shelton and Lorenzo Musetti all qualified too, but the latter two withdrew and the former played in Turin.
Fils is currently 36th in the ATP Rankings and won his first singles title in Lyon earlier this season having emerged as a rising star in 2022. He has also won Challenger titles this season as well as losing in the final in Antwerp and also playing Laver Cup.
Joined by Stricker who this season has reached the fourth round at the US Open and the second round at Wimbledon as well as Italian hopefuls in Flavio Cobolli and Luca Nardi.
Luca van Assche another Frenchman leads Green Group. The World No.66 is the second youngest player alongside Fils inside the top 100. He reached the second round at the French Open this year.
He is joined by American college standout, Alex Michelsen who reached his first ATP Final in 2023 in Newport before turning pro and won a first Challenger title in 2023. Hamad Medjedovic is an interesting story too with the 20-year-old having his career supported and paid for by a certain Novak Djokovic.
While Abdullah Shelbayh, the Jordanian trailblazer will round out the group with the usual Finals rules of Round Robin until the semi-finals with the top two from each group moving through.
