The draw has been confirmed ahead of the ATP Rome Open which is due to take place between 10-21 May and acts as the final stop on the road to Roland Garros in terms of a Masters 1000 tournament.
Novak Djokovic is the defending champion albeit heading into the tournament with injury issues and little confidence or form compared to the chasing pack of the likes of Carlos Alcaraz who has just won Madrid again.
As well as others such as Daniil Medvedev, Jannik Sinner returning in front of his home crowd, Holger Rune and Stefanos Tsitsipas. Projected Quarter-Finals include Djokovic v Rune, Ruud-Sinner, Rublev-Medvedev, and Tsitsipas-Alcaraz.
Djokovic starts against potentially French rising star Luca van Assche, Alcaraz will play Francesco Passaro or Albert Ramos-Vinolas. Rublev could face Alex Molcan, while Stan Wawrinka could face Grigor Dimitrov. Daniil Medvedev could take on Emil Ruusuvouri or Ugo Humbert. While for Alexander Zverev, it could be David Goffin.
Fabio Fognini too as a home hero will face the recent winner in Provence in former World No.1, Andy Murray.
