The draw for the 2020 Erste Bank Open Vienna is full of star names as we will see world number 1, Novak Djokovic competing in Austria alongside the 2019 champion, Dominic Thiem.
Already before Novak Djokovic accepted the wild-card for the 2020 Erste Bank Open in Vienna, the field was very strong. However, with the joining of the world number 1, 2019 champion, Dominic Thiem is only the second-seeded player at the tournament and so we can expect a lot of interesting matches in Vienna from 26th of October - 1st of November 2020.
The first-seeded Djokovic will take on fellow countryman, Filip Krajinovic in the first round. No. 2 in Vienna and the home-crowd favourite will play against Kei Nishikori in the first round and he can meet the winner of the match between Christian Garin and Stan Wawrinka in the second.
The fourth-seeded Daniil Medvedev will be facing also a very difficult draw as the Russian will play against Alex de Minaur. Another two Russians in the draw will see similarly difficult opponents. The fifth-seeded Andrey Rublev will face a qualifier in the first round, however, he can meet the winner of the match between Jannik Sinner and Casper Ruud in the second. Karen Khachanov will play against Grigor Dimitrov in the first round and can meet the third-seeded Stefanos Tsitsipas or Jan-Lennard Struff in the second.
