The ASB Classic is one of the first tournament on the calendar during the 2025 ATP season, with fans flocking to Auckland to witness their favorite players compete for the title.
An ATP 250 event, the ASB Classic is used as a warm-up for the Australian Open. The hardcourt event features a 28-man singles field and a 16-team doubles draw, with previous champions including David Ferrer, Juan Martin del Potro and Richard Gasquet.
Canadian Alejandro Tabilo announced his arrival on the ATP Tour after lifting the trophy at the 2024 ASB Classic. The World No.23 will be looking to make it two wins in a row when he returns to Auckland in January.
Rising American star Ben Shelton is set to be the top seed at the event, and the former Tokyo Open champion will be joined by compatriot Alex Michelsen. French veteran Gael Monfils has been announced as an entrant at the event, although the ageless wonder may have to best younger country Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, whose stock has been on the rise in recent months.
