Felix Auger-Aliassime touches his chest after advancing to the semifinals of the 2025 ATP Finals
Felix Auger-Aliassime has been a staple at the forefront of tennis for sometime now. Very consistent on the big stage and not afraid of a deep run, he is spending his 100th week in the Top 10 of the ATP rankings, becoming the third player born in the 2000s to achieve this feat.
The Canadian has not done this all in one sitting, enjoying fluctuating bouts of form. When at his best there are very few players who can stop him. Take for example the first few months of this year where he was a menace on the hard courts. While that form as of late has not kept up, he is still a force to be reckoned with on the big stage with Roland Garros his next task.
His top 10 appearances have come in four stints. The first one lasted a week from November 15th to 21st, 2021. The second time was for a much longer period of time, but he would not have to wait long before making his permanent return.
It would come from January 10th to September 11th, 2022, making him a sturdier challenger as he cemented his name among the top players on the ATP Tour. That was for a grand total of 35 weeks. The next stint would last for 34 weeks, coming between October 17th, 2022 and June 11th, 2023. After falling away, as rejuvenated Auger-Aliassime came storming back into the top 10 October 27th 2025, and has been there ever since.
He is Canada's best player on the ATP Tour currently. He joins Milos Raonic as the only two Canadians to spend at least 100 weeks in the top 10, with the former Wimbledon finalist residing in it for 151 weeks across the 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 seasons. Denis Shapovalov is the only other Canadian to reach the top 10, doing so in separate stints in 2020 and 2021 lasting 10 weeks.
Currently sitting world number five, there is a possibility that he may lose a few places if he cannot get back up to speed. A title at the Open Occitanie was followed by a final defeat at the ABN AMRO Open and semi-final failure at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships. From the Sunshine swing onwards, he has lost a bit of momentum. With other players slipping up around him, he has remained in a career-high fifth in the world but the point gaps are not huge, signalling more change imminent.

Alcaraz and Sinner lead by a distance

It will come as no surprise that the two players born in the 2000s who have already spent at least 100 weeks in the top 10 are Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner. Despite being two years younger, it is Alcaraz who has spent the most time in the top 10. As an 18-year-old, the Spaniard became the youngest player to reach the top 10 in the rankings since Rafael Nadal back in 2005.
He has been a familiar name up there ever since with Jannik Sinner soon joining him. Alcaraz currently has spent 213 weeks in the top 10 with Sinner trailing his rival with 186 and counting. Auger-Aliassime slots in at third after reaching that 100 milestone.
Holger Rune is the closest to making 100. His achilles injury blighted any chance in the short term that he will make a return, but with his comeback imminent he will be hugely motivated to climb back up the order. Lorenzo Musetti recently dropped out of the top 10, leaving him stranded on 54 weeks. Ben Shelton will eye the chance to surpass the Italian soon as Jack Draper sits seventh on the list.
