Marin Cilic won't play at this year's
Wimbledon event as the Croatian announced on social media that he contracted Coronavirus.
Cilic played some decent tennis leading up to Wimbledon and played superb tennis at Roland Garros where he made a deep run. The Croatian is always dangerous on the grass with his strong groundstrokes and powerful and precise serve. However, that won't be happening this year due to coronavirus.
He shared the news on social meda writing:
"Hey guys, I am sad to
share that I tested positive for COVID. I have been self-isolating and
was hopeful I would be ready but unfortunately, I am still feeling unwell
& unable to compete at my best. I am heartbroken to be missing @Wimbledon & to see my grass season end this way 😞. Looking forward to competing again next year!"
