"He has the ability to endure pain" - Muguruza on Nadal playing with injuries

Rafael Nadal has been playing with pain for many years now and it's something his compatriot Muguruza greatly admires.

She's not the only one because feeling pain is a universal thing that everybody who ever lived experienced at one point in their life. It's quite miserable and it severely hampers athletes in doing what they do best. Just recently Nadal had to numb his foot daily at Roland Garros to be able to take the court and he was able to win that event without essentially any feeling in his foot.

Reflecting about that, Muguruza said:

"He is suffering; he has the ability to endure pain and takes it to the extreme and on top of that, he wins. Among the men, there are three aliens, and the others are very good, but there is a big difference."

The Spaniard was also disappointed to see his Wimbledon campaign cut short by an abdominal injury.
