Chris Evert paid tribute to Roger Federer after his retirement announcement calling him the ultimate champion who was beloved by everyone.
Evert did not tell a single lie in the way she described Federer as all of those things is something many tennis fans associate with Federer. No player played with more grace and it was truly poetry in motion watching him play.
When he announced his retirement, many paid tribute to him as did Evert. She shared a simple message on Twitter:
"He was the epitome of a champion; class, grace, humility, beloved by everyone…and he elegantly mastered the sport like no other…Good luck to you, @rogerfederer. don’t go too far"
