The 2025 Hellenic Championship will be played from November 2 to 8 on the indoor hardcourts of the OAKA Basketball Arena. The tournament, owned by the Novak Djokovic family, changed its venue from the Belgrade Open to Greece, all framed by Nole's change of residence following conflicts with the Serbian government.
The tournament director, Djordje Djokovic, is the younger brother of the 24-time Grand Slam champion, who will be leading the bill in Athens as the only top-15 player present in the draw. There will be several significant names playing a final tournament in Greece, including names like Jiří Lehecka (No. 17), Karen Khachanov (No. 18), Joao Fonseca (No. 24), and Stefanos Tsitsipas (No. 33).
Djokovic had the Athens Open fixed on his calendar months ago, as he indicated in several interviews while casting doubt on the tournaments he would play in the final part of the year. The former World No. 1 has not yet confirmed his presence at the ATP Finals, so this could be the last time this season to see the Serb on the court.
Fonseca's presence will be another highlight of the tournament, as the Brazilian is enjoying a great moment after winning the title at the Swiss Indoors, his first ATP 500 title. The South American, however, lost his winning streak in the second round of the Paris Masters against Khachanov, another player who will be present in Athens as the third seed.
