Alexander Zverev has had a bit of history with Stefanos Tsitsipas recently with the German taking shots at the Greek several times in the past month.
The first time he took a shot at the Greek was in Cincinnati when he complained to the umpire about the Greek's long bathroom break. Zverev accused Tsitsipas of cheating explaining he did the same thing at the French Open earlier in the year. He also made fun of Tsitsipas after the whole bathroom break Murray fiasco.
The German did scale back on that saying he was done with that but new rumors about a rift between them surfaced at the Vienna Open when Zverev omitted Tsitsipas from the list of best hard court players right now. The German was asked and he said:
"If I have to make a ranking based on hard courts. I would say Djokovic, Medvedev and me."
The reporter than asked about Tsitsipas and Zverev was quick to respond:
"Don't get me wrong, I'm not taking out Tsitsipas of it. Please don't start this thing of me against Stefanos, I'm in very good relationship with Stef right now and I have nothing against him".
The duo seemed to have patches things up at the Laver Cup where they both proved instrumental in leading Team Europe over Team World.
