Fans may only get a few more chances to see Carlos Alcaraz take to the court alongside Rafael Nadal after the latter hinted at 2024 retirement and is now out of Roland Garros at the end of the month.
Alcaraz was one of the first to praise his compatriot and hopes that he can have the send off he deserves next year with a September Davis Cup return all but ruling out Wimbledon and the US Open for the king of clay.

"Good luck Rafael! Very painful and sad for everyone that you can't be at Roland Garros or play more this year, but I hope that 2024 will be a great season for you and that you can say goodbye like the great champion you are," said Alcaraz translated from Spanish.
