Dominic Thiem got beaten in the second round of the
Monte-Carlo Masters by Holger Rune but he's quite positive about his showing as it was pretty decent.
His form is picking up slowly which is good news for Thiem after a few terrible months to start the year. Being back on clay certainly helps the Austrian who played a pretty good match against Rune but it wasn't good enough. It was a brutally good match from Rune who was superb from start to finish.
Thiem reflected on his result on social media posting an update:
"There are still many things that need to be improved, but I leave Monte Carlo with a good feeling. On to the next one."
He's going to play some challenger events in the coming weeks which might be a good idea to fully get back his confidene and find a good rhytm. He's also motivated because of Roland Garros trying to avoid having to play the qualifiers t the event where he played two finals in the past.
