Andy Murray played a great match but ultimately lost to Stefanos Tsitsipas in 5 sets due to a combination of factors.
One of those factors had a very lengthy toiled break after the 3rd set which Murray won. The Brit was playing great and he was roaring the get back onto the court but a lengthy toilet break messed up his momentum and he never quite recovered after that.
Murray complained to the umpire as it was unfolding a continued fuming about it as the match slipped away from him. After the conclusion of the match Murray said:
“I lost respect for him. Do you think that’s normal? Do you think it’s totally fine? I think it’s nonsense and he knows it as well. I said I don’t want to do press tonight because I know I’m going to sit here and it’s going to sound like I’m just smashing him."
Ultiamtley Murray did press tonight but ancknoweledged that it would sound bad saying:
“That’s annoying to for me because it sounds like sour grapes because you’ve lost a match. [But] I would have said the same thing if I’d won, I promise. It was nonsense, and he knows it.”
