Andy Murray lost to
Stefanos Tsitsipas in an epic 5-setter at the US Open last night where the Greek broke some tennis toilet records.
Murray was playing great tennis against Stefanos Tsitsipas in the 1st round of the US Open and after taking a 2-1 lead in sets the Greek opted for a toilet break. Lately, Tsitsipas has been taking extremely long toilet breaks in order to change clothes due to his propensity to sweat a lot.
Alexander Zverev accused Tsitsipas of cheating by texting with his father during the breaks with the Greek clarifying after the match it was only to change the clothes. Against Murray, he did once again and took 20 minutes which is almost unheard of.
Murray lost it complaining to the umpire several times because of especially after the tides turned upon the resumption of the match. Murray lost any rhythm during the long break and he never found it again losing the next two sets. After the match, Murray gave a press conference where he said he lost all respect for Tsitsipas because of it.
Tsitsipas on the other hand was dismissive of it and did not want to elaborate too much on it. Today Murray is still bitter about what happened but he took a different way of looking at it. Check it out below.
