With several changes coming at the 2025 US Open, tennis fans can expect more modifications to the sport they love. French player Corentin Moutet believes some of these proposed changes could benefit fans and make the game more interesting.
Moutet is currently competing at the 2025 Argentina Open, in preparation for Roland Garros in his home country. The World No.66 is known for his crafty and erratic behavior on court, often attempting to entertain the crowd with spectacular and unique shots.
In an interview with Boîte à Questions on Canal Plus, the left-handed star spoke on some changes he would like to see in tennis. Moutet believes tennis events should be made more enjoyable for fans, with the inclusion of food and live music in the stands.
"I am in favor of tennis becoming more accessible to people, less complex, less sectarian," said Moutet." I would even say that we give access to more people. I think it has to be more of a show, more of a way for people to express themselves, so that they can have more fun.
"I find them too restricted when they watch tennis matches. I am in favor of there being more of an atmosphere, of there being food in the stadiums, of there being music. I am in favor of it living."
