"I try not to think about that" - Alcaraz on comparisons with Rafael Nadal

Carlos Alcaraz as a rising talent is compared often to Rafael Nadal but following his first title win this past weekend at Croatia Open Umag, he brushed this off.

Alcaraz said that he is trying to focus on himself and not the comparisons to his compatriot despite receiving similarly glowing praise so far in his career.

“I try not to think about that (comparisons with Rafael Nadal),” said Alcaraz.

“I say always the same – I’m focused on my [path]. I’m still learning, still growing up, still being friendly with everyone and am still focused on my [path].”
