Stefanos Tsitsipas was asked about Daniil Medvedev’s dance: “Well, if it's meant to be this way, I guess there is a dance after every 1 of them. No, it was fun. I wasn't mad or upset or anything regarding that. I did the same a few months ago” 😂
Stefanos Tsitsipas broke his silence on the Daniil Medvedev dance which the Russian pulled out after beating the Greek at the Rome Masters recently.
Daniil Medvedev is a very funny character because he's very relatable to the average person. He makes mistakes, he doesn't take himself too seriously, he makes fun of himself and others and he's quite petty. The pettiness was shown recently at the Rome Masters where Medvedev did something that Tsitsipas did to him a few months ago.
The rivalry between Medvedev and Tsitsipas is something tennis fans are loving to see. It's a very bitter rivalry in a sense because the players don't like each other very much and it shows. It adds a bit of spice as opposed to more respectful and measured rivalries as we see between the likes of Federer and Nadal or Djokovic and somebody else.
The Russian pulled out some dance moves after beating Tsitsipas in Rome recently and there is a reason for that. Tsitsipas did the same when he beat Medvedev last year.
The Greek player finally broke his silence on the matter when he was asked in Paris about it. In his own words, Tsitsipas didn't really mind it because he did the same a few months ago:
“Well, if it's meant to be this way, I guess there is a dance after every 1 of them. No, it was fun. I wasn't mad or upset or anything regarding that. I did the same a few months ago”
