Daniil Medvedev does not plan to take legal action against
Wimbledon's ban despite thinking there could be room to manoeuvre.
Medvedev was asked about after his loss to Richard Gasquet in Geneva and he said that he doesn't plan on taking legal action despite being curious if the ATP would do something. The ATP did do something a couple of days later but Medvedev did not speak on that yet. Wimbledon in the meantime double down on its decision despite the countermeasures by the ATP and WTA.
Medvedev said:
"I didn't think about a legal action (on the Wimbledon ban). If you ask a lawyer, probably there is some room to make. As I said, not me taking the decision. I'm not going to court for this one. I'm waiting for decisions. But personnaly, I won't go to a court."
On Rolland Garros, Medvedev said:
"I'm focused on Roland Garros. I had tough moments here and very good last year. I want to reproduce the joy to play on clay like last year. For Wimbledon, I can't take decisions, there are a lot of stakes. If I can play, I'm happy to play,"
