Novak Djokovic begins his
ATP Finals campaign on Sunday evening and sent out an ominous statement to the rest of the field in a Bold Predictions piece for the ATP which in reality might not be all that bold.
Djokovic as well as Daniil Medvedev and Carlos Alcaraz were asked to make a bold prediction and the Serbian said he was winning the tournament whether he is being humble or trying to be honest.
"If I don't want to be humble and be honest, I'm winning the tournament. If I want to be humble, I'm also winning the tournament," Djokovic stated. Will his statement bear fruit starting on Sunday evening?
While Carlos Alcaraz predicted that there would be a lot of close contests instead of his own destiny. "Ït's going to be a lot of close matches in singles and doubles," said the Spaniard who is looking to recapture form after a poor period since the US Open.
Daniil Medvedev went rogue and said that someone would win a video review while overruling a call from the umpire or line judge. "If there is video review this year, probably yes, someone is going to win it, they are going to overrule the decision because I'm not sure It happened," the Russian mentioned.
