Three-time Grand Slam champion
Andy Murray is approaching the twilight of his career, and the British star is adamant that he would not like to have a farewell tour when he decides to hang up his rackets.
The former World No.1 has been dealing with injuries over the last few years, which has seen his ranking slide as he took extended time off for surgeries and recuperation. Nonetheless, the 36-year old is yet to call it quits, displaying the championship spirit and grit that saw him earn a spot as a member of the "Big Four".
Murray remains humble regarding expectations of a farewell tour
In a recent interview, the Brit spoke on the topic of retirement. When asked whether he would walk away without any warning or announce a farewell tour, Murray was modest in his response.
"I don't know to be honest, I probably wouldn't," said the former Wimbledon champion. "I get it when you're like Roger (Federer) or Rafa (Nadal) or Serena (Williams or whatever, like these are...you know everyone wants to see them one last time. I'm...probably not quite the same foe me so if I was like 'Um, tomorrow I'm announcing my farewell tour', I'm not sure how many people would be bothered."
