The ATP will make a transition from clay courts to grass following the conclusion of Roland Garros. In preparation for the Wimbledon Championships, tennis athletes will travel to Stuttgart, Germany for the Stuttgart Open, which runs from June 10-16, 2024.
An ATP 250 event, the Stuttgart Open kicks off the grass court swing the week after Roland Garros comes to an end. The event has a rich history, with previous winners ranging from former World No.1's Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal to 2020 US Open champion Dominic Thiem.
German tennis star Alexander Zverev will hope to thrill home fans as he's scheduled to compete at his local event, alongside countryman Jan-Lennard Struff. However, defending champion Frances Tiafoe is returning with the hopes of repeating last year's success. The American will be joined by compatriots Ben Shelton, Taylor Fritz and Christopher Eubanks.
Former World No.1 Andy Murray has also been confirmed as a participant. The British star is at the tail end of his career, with many speculating on his future after this year's Wimbledon event. Nonetheless, the three-time Grand Slam champion will undoubtedly put on a show, considering this may be his final season on tour.
