Hey there, @RafaelNadal 👋 @MallorcaChamps | #MallorcaChampionships
The former Italian player took over the reigns of the organization in 2020, and was tested as his term began during the start of the coronavirus pandemic. With activities stalled right before the BNP Paribas Open Indian Wells, Gaudenzi had to manage the tour till play could resume months later in New York.
"It is an honor to be nominated for a second term as president of the ATP and to continue working for the sport that has given me so much," said Gaudenzi. "I am proud of everything we have achieved since 2020, in a particularly difficult time for the world, OneVision has strengthened the foundations of the ATP, promoting a true partnership between players and tournaments.
"As we enter the second phase of our strategic plan, I am more convinced than ever that our sport will benefit enormously and that we are well positioned to make the most of the digital age. Together with the ATP Council and our members I am committed to making our vision a reality in the coming years."
