Italy’s tennis star
Jannik Sinner’s head coach Darren Cahill
has opened about the mindset of the former world number one
Andre Agassi during
the twilight of his career.
Cahill has played a big part in the recent success of the current
world number three who has won the Australian Open and the Miami Open this year.
Cahill was recently quoted in a report where he talked about
the mindset of America’s legendary player Agassi even in the twilight of his
career.
"I had a chance to work with Agassi when he was 32
years of age,” he said. “The moment I stepped on the court with Andre, it was
all business and he wanted to become better as a tennis player at 32, better
than he was at 22.”
Agassi finished his career in 2006 after winning eight Grand
Slam titles. Her most successful competition was the Australian Open where he
lifted the four times.
His first mega-event triumph was back in 19992 when he won Wimbledon
after beating Croatia’s Goran Ivanisevic in the final with a score of 6–7(8–10),
6–4, 6–4, 1–6, 6–4.
Agassi’s last Grand Slam title was the Australian Open in 2003
when he defeated Germany’s Rainer Schuttler in the final in straight sets with
a score of 6-2, 6-2, 6-1.
