Andrey Rublev believes Novak Djokovic will be very motivated at Roland Garros after suffering an early exit at the Monte-Carlo Masters.
Djokovic was spotted in a very bad mood following his loss at the Monte-Carlo Masters giving a very lacklustre post-match press conference. The Serbian was very short in his responses and had a very annoyed tone to his voice which everybody noticed. Andrey Rublev believes that the loss will motivate him even more:
"When he goes to play Slams or next Masters after first one on clay, because it's tough, you don't have much time, everyone adapts differently. But then with the time, with a few more weeks, I don't know, or Rome or Madrid or Roland Garros, it will be also a completely different Djokovic."
He referened his own experience with Djokovic last year in Belgrade:
"In the same time I was not surprised, because sometimes happens to Novak those things, like also the same, when I played him last year final in Serbia, that I won the match and I won 6-0 in the third, which is basically impossible happen somewhere else. Sometimes it happens."
Rublev himself advanced to the semi-final after a win over Struff.
