"I've been trusting you blindly since day one" - Mouratoglou on protege Tsitsipas

Patrick Mouratoglou has been serving as a mentor for Stefanos Tsitsipas for some time now as the Greek added the Frenchman to his staff when his rise in tennis started.

Mouratologu is a famous coach who became widely prominent with his longtime association with Serena Williams. The coach worked with several high profile talents in the past as well such as Coco Gauff, Holger Rune, Linda Fruhvirtova and many others. Many players regularly use his facilities in the south of France and Tsitsipas as a Monaco resident is chief among them.

The coach took to Twitter to praise his protege writing:

“I’ve been trusting you blindly since Day 1. And somehow, you keep exceeding my expectations. Well done on a much-deserved second straight Monte-Carlo title”

Tsitsipas himself said after the match:

"I am very proud of myself, things weren’t going well at one point, but I managed to stay composed to finish the match off. I am really proud with the belief I put in my game. Sometimes you doubt yourself, but it is always important to keep your head high.”
