Thanasi Kokkinakis was seen as a potential spoiler to
Novak Djokovic's
Wimbledon reign heading into their second round tie at the All England Lawn & Tennis Club.
But it proved to be very one sided with a 6-1, 6-4, 6-2 win for the Serbian ace who successfully converted five out of 13 break points in three sets.
While the Aussie failed to break Djokovic's serve throughout the tie despite serving brilliantly including 11 aces in the tie and he reacted honestly on social media post defeat.
"Thanks for the spanking, bro," Kokkinakis wrote. He also will not play any further part in the men's doubles with Kyrgios firmly against the format and also still involved in singles.
