Kyrgios among well known names to wish Federer well after knee surgery announcement

Nick Kyrgios was among a number of well known faces to wish Roger Federer well after the announcement that he is set to undergo another knee surgery forcing him to miss several months of action.

Federer spoke of wanting a glimmer of hope of a return to the tour after he revealed he sustained damage to his knee during his Wimbledon run.

Kyrgios said: "Get better goat" while Juan Martin del Potro who himself has battled injury problems said "All the best amigo! We will be back."

Actor Hugh Jackman was one of the leading names not from the tennis world to also throw his well wishes in as well: "Deb and I are sending our love for a speedy recovery! Be well."
