Andy Murray lost to Diego Schwartzman at the Antwerp
European Open and after the match, Murray expressed disappointment in himself.
The matchup between Schwartzman and Murray was a very interesting one but also a tough one for the Brit in particular. He was coming off an almost 4-hour match against Tiafoe and Schwartzman was able to use that to his advantage. Murray did have an early 4-1 lead but lacked the stamina to carry on playing at that high level.
After the match he expressed dissapointment in himself saying:
"Mentally, today [Thursday] I was poor. My attitude was poor on the court and those are two things you can control. If they're not there, that also will make the decision-making harder."
There are certain moments in the match where Murray made some questionable decisions that ultimately did not help him in trying to win the match. On that he said:
"You're not going to get every single one [decision] right in the match, but you also have to be present enough to acknowledge what is actually happening in the points and why you are winning and losing points."
Murray had a decent chance in the tiebreak of the 2nd set to send it to a 3rd set but once again a few bad decisions cost him.
