It is time for the third round to conclude at the 2024
Indian Wells Open with
Emma Raducanu facing
Aryna Sabalenka among the leading matches with
Novak Djokovic,
Naomi Osaka and Coco Gauff all also in action.
Our preview looks ahead to Monday at Indian Wells as the Last 16 line-up is set to be confirmed with the leading talking points and main matches to watch.
Raducanu-Sabalenka, Osaka and Djokovic lead Stadium 1 line-up
On the main show court, it all begins with Lorenzo Musetti facing off against Holger Rune, before the main match of the session as Emma Raducanu tests her metal in her biggest match since returning when she faces off against Australian Open champion, Aryna Sabalenka.
Raducanu benefitted last time out by Dayana Yastremska retiring early on, while Sabalenka had a grueling time as she was taken to the limit by Peyton Stearns who missed four match points so it could've been the American facing the Brit instead. Can the former US Open champion do what Stearns couldn't.
Naomi Osaka has been superb so far this tournament and continues to find her feet again on the tour heading towards Roland Garros and next up is Elise Mertens on that quest after sealing her second top 20 win since returning. Novak Djokovic then follows as he starts the night session facing Luca Nardi. Before Elina Svitolina finalises proceedings against Emma Navarro.
Gauff, Paul, Fritz among other players in action
On other courts, it is thoroughly American themed as Coco Gauff, Tommy Paul and Taylor Fritz all play in a row on Stadium 2. Sebastian Korda will also play interspersed between Fritz and Caroline Garcia - Maria Sakkari. But in particular Paul and Fritz face tough tests in two of the most proficient players as of late in Ugo Humbert and Sebastian Baez who are multiple title winners in 2024.
Other ties include Cameron Norrie v Gael Monfils, Casper Ruud against Arthur Fils and Adrian Mannarino facing Grigor Dimitrov. The Last 16 is set to be confirmed and there are a lot of top ties awaiting.
