Jenson Brooksby has been producing some incredible displays as of late with the NextGenATP talent reaching the final in Newport in July and the semi-finals in Washington this week.
He has gained a new admirer though in former World Number One,
Andy Murray who voiced his admiration for the American on Twitter on Friday night.
“Jenson Brooksby is the sort of player I love to watch,” said the three-time Grand Slam champion on Friday.
“Lots of variety, high tennis IQ and great in defence. His slice and backhand volley are almost identical to Florian Mayer.”
He received a tweet back referencing to him previously lauding praise on Caroline Garcia.
“Just don’t say he’s a future number one, we know how that ends,” said the fan.
But he came back with a sarcastic response as a result: “Yeah he might get to number four in singles and number one in doubles. That would be awful."
