Andy Murray has reached his first tour-level Quarter-Final in almost a year by beating Cameron Norrie in the second round of the China Open in Beijing.

Murray came through a marathon tie with fellow Brit, Cameron Norrie 7-6, 6-7, 6-1. This saw the Scot who has only recently made his comeback to the tour play for nearly three hours in his first real test.
It was close for the first two with him taking the first tie break 8-6 but losing the second 7-4 but from there he raced through the final set 6-1.
No matter how far he goes from here, it is a big step forward for the former World No.1 and represents the first time that he has won two straight ATP Tour singles matches since January. Yesterday he beat Berrettini in two tie-breaks.
Next up for him is top seed Dominic Thiem or Chinese wildcard Zhang Zhizhen who are still to face off in their next tie.
