Rafael Nadal advanced to the
Roland Garros quarterfinals ending Sebastian Korda's run in the process and after the match, he spoke about his performances so far.
Rafel Nadal played a strong brand of tennis against Korda to reach the Roland Garros quarterfinals. He converted 8 of 11 break points en route to a 6-1 6-1 6-2 victory. After the match he said:
"I'm in [the] quarter-finals without losing a set and having very positive scores. I can't complain at all, so [I'm] happy for that."
In his last match, he played against a play who considers Nadal to be his idol and he doesn't hide it. Rafael was also asked about that and he said:
“It is a real honour [to have inspired Sebastian]. All of my generations tried very hard to be passionate, to play every single day trying our best and if that is a good inspiration for the young generation that is good. I am very happy for that."
When asked to recap the match Nadal simply said:
"The beginning of the third was a little bit of trouble, but I was able to find [a way] to save that game [at 0-2], serving against the wind. After that everything went the right way.
He also gave high praise for the young Korda and even signed his shirt following the match.
