Eurosport tennis analyst and former player Laura Robson feel like Rafael Nadal is still the favourite for Roland Garros even though the draw is wide open.
Robson was in Paris last year witnessing how Rafael Nadal won Roland Garros on a numb foot. This year's potential win wouldn't be any less impressive as it's likely to come without any preparation for the event as Nadal hasn't played since January due to a hip injury sustained in Melbourne.
Speaking about the upcoming grand slam, Robson explained that Nadal's track record at the event is just so iconic that you can't discount him as the favourite:
"The numbers that he's had at Paris, it's like hard to wrap your head around, but I just think he needs matches. It's like a magical thing to watch him on clay when he's 100% fit and just able to come up with something special."
She added:
"If his forehand game is strong from the start in Barcelona, then maybe a 15th title is on the way."
Nadal is yet to play since Janury and it's likely he'll miss all events until Roland Garros.
